The Bread Stop Bakery is looking for a Full-Time Production Assistant to join our Production Team. We are a scratch bakery. The work is hands-on and fast paced. Speed, and attention to detail are required for everyone on the Production Team. Tasks include: weighing, rounding, shaping, and panning different doughs, as well as general cleaning and related tasks that help keep processes moving smoothly. Prior experience in bakery production, commercial kitchen or restaurant is preferred, but will train the right person who is self-motivated and has a passion for bread making.

This position is about 30-36 hours. The length of workday is determined by the amount of product needed on a given day. Bread production typically begins around 6am and finishes approximately 8-10 hours later. Production Assistants arrive to work in the early to mid-morning.

The Bread Stop Bakery is a local, family-owned wholesale bakery in Eugene that produces hand crafted bread made in small batches using traditional bread making methods. Bread Stop breads are made from natural ingredients free of additives or preservatives. We are proud to serve our community for over 36 years and our products can be found in local groceries stores and restaurants.

The ideal candidate:

- Has experience in production or is willing to learn scratch bakery processes

- Pays attention to detail and utilizes math skills when structuring tasks

- Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment

- Is team oriented and actively participates in meeting the goals and daily timelines of the Production team

- Is able to stand on their feet for long periods of time
- Is reliable and dependable

- Is able to lift up to 50lbs
- Follows and maintains health and safety procedures and guidelines

- Has a current Food Handler’s Card
