SCOPE OF POSITION
The Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute and Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center are committed to providing high quality health services in detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. Located inside the Breast Center, Hope’s Boutique serves countless breast cancer patients as well as women with other cancers who can benefit from specialty garments (forms, mastectomy bras, lingerie and swimsuits, etc), head coverings (wigs, hats, scarves), services (hair/wig styling, makeup artistry), or its wide variety of jewelry, lotions, books, and other retail products. Hope’s Boutique and its specialized and talented staff comprise an integral part of the care team and the Breast Center/James Cancer Hospital offerings to its patients and families.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager will provide senior leadership and champion the planning, goal setting, and marketing/promotion for the Boutique. Importantly, she/he will drive and closely monitor adherence to all relevant compliance guidelines (e.g., cash handling, billing for medical products). She/he will provide vision and collaborate with Assistant Manager and Lead Boutique Specialist on merchandising, product selection, and optimizing the patient/customer experience. Further, she/he will liaise with Breast Center and other appropriate James clinical managers to educate staff and promote the Boutique to realize potential referrals. The Manager will partner with James Development and Media Relations to capitalize on donor opportunities and increase publicity. As the external lead for Hope’s, the Manager is responsible for networking with community partners that have intersecting missions.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Retail Management or related field with graduate degree preferred. Previous senior-level experience in retail to include buying, supervising & operating in consumer sales. Strong communication skills with experience in corporate/individual fundraising and public speaking.
