JOB TITLE: Bookkeeper
Position: Bookkeeper

Supervisor: Accounting Manager
The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Accounting Manager. This is an FT position. Primary responsibilities include:
- processing payables and receivables and other bookkeeping transactions
- assisting as a resource to Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end workflows and other workflows that build efficiency and controls for the Finance Department
- building and maintaining positive client, vendor, and contractor relationships, to streamline operations for all involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ø Mail Processing and Log Receipts
Ø Assist Accounting Manager with all day to day financial and accounting operations
Ø Manage all Accounts Payable functions including posting vendor invoices to QBO, vendor/contractor information tracking, filing and organizing paid vendor invoice files
Ø Process Annual Vendor IRS Form 1099
Ø Process Credit Card statements and transactions
Ø Process Contractor reimbursement reports
Ø Conduct cash transactions, such as banking deposits and petty cash reconciliations
Ø Assist with budgeting workflows
Ø Daily awareness of Client Census and Receivables. Work with Billing Department to bring transparency of Accounts Receivables standing.
Ø Record Discharge Client Transactions (ie: Ancillary Refund; OOP Refund; other refund)
Ø Lead Month-End Close process tasks
Ø Ensure filing systems are maintained and up-to-date
Ø Ensure protection and security of all files and Muir Wood resident records
Ø Collaborate with Finance team to develop and implement best practices
Ø Assist Controller, as needed, in data gathering for budget building and other financial analysis
Ø Develop Reports or presentations as requested by Controller and Accounting Manger
Ø Perform other duties as needed and directed by Controller and Accounting Manger
Weekly Recurring Tasks:
Process daily mail
Record Receipts in receipt log
Deposit Funds to Bank
Record Petty Cash transactions
Record Ancillary refunds to clients
Record weekly payables
Record weekly credit card transactions
Assist Accounting Manager with inquiries for month-end close process
Ad-Hoc Bookkeeping tasks and projects for Accounting Manager , etc
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
Previous Accounting Experience (Min 4 years)
QBO experience (Required)
Proficient in Excel
Tech-Savvy
Self Starter Unparalleled written and oral communication

Employee will comply with all First Aid and CPR training as required by Community Care Licensing and provide documentation to Muir Wood Administrator to be kept in employees’ personnel record.
Employee will also complete a minimum of 20 hours of annual training to include subjects as outlined by Title 22, documented appropriately, and to be maintained in the employees’ file.
Muir Wood will reimburse employee for all hours and course cost needed to comply with Title 22 training requirements. Additionally, this policy is outlined in Muir Wood’s Employee Handbook.

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
