We’re seeking a candidate to join our accounting team and help support the nonprofit organizations we serve.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and record accounts payable and expenses for multiple clients in QBO.
- Monitor and categorize transactions in Divvy and Hubdoc to QBO.
- Record prepaid expenses and accrued expenses.
- Reconcile accruals to actual expenses
- Download, archive and add supporting documents to client drives and transactions in accounting system.
- Inquire about transactions with incomplete information; follow up rigorously with clients until the information is obtained.
- Attend team and department meetings.
- Perform other assigned duties.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of relevant experience as a bookkeeper working with multiple clients.
- 1-2 nonprofit accounting experience.
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
- Advanced spreadsheet skills such as Pivot tables, Macros, Vlookups, Sparkline, etc., using Google Sheets and Excel
- QuickBooks Online Certification or Advanced Certified
VERY NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS
- 1-3 years of using Asana or similar platforms for work management and collaboration.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a high-performing virtual team environment, working with staff, members, partners, and clients across the country.
- Strong accountability, integrity, and ability to handle highly visible responsibilities.
- Excellent time management, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information; flexible and able to multi-task, with demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with key stakeholders—staff, clients, and external partners.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
