Barton Malow Company is comprised of more than 1,000 team members, and builds projects in the automotive, power, energy, industrial, and infrastructure markets throughout North America.
The Layout Supervisor is responsible for creating layout and installation documents. This includes careful analysis of all construction documents, specifications, and submittals, as well as communicating with project teams to ensure complete and accurate installations. Conducting measurements and inspecting blueprints of construction projects to look for dimensional discrepancies will ensure the accurate placement of the elements for the project. We're seeking two layout supervisors, one to work on the civil scope and another to work on the concrete scope.
Responsibilities:
Transfer control established by 3rd party surveyor and use for primary control for building.
Transfer bench mark established by 3rd party surveyor and use for elevations for the building.
Review contract drawing for accuracy and use information for layout of building.
Assist Superintendent with quality control and field take off needs.
Transfer information from contract drawing to shop drawings for the field Foreman.
Generate RFI’s when conflicts in contract drawing arrive.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction industry
OSHA 30 hr. certification preferred
Experience with Total Station/GPS Rover Layout
Ability to inspect and safely operate powers tools
Basic knowledge of signaling and rigging
Ability to understand and utilize new software for layout
Demonstrated ability to safely operate all equipment needed to perform layout
