SALES MANAGER POSITION OVERVIEW:
The key function of the SALES Manager will be to assist the CLUB Manager in increasing the top line revenue of the club. This is a full-time leadership position that requires active participation within a team setting. The SALES Manager is a critical piece to our management system, designed to hyperfocus on various aspects of our business. Only through working together and with the CLUB Manager will success be achievable. The SALES Manager must always lead by example: providing a warm, engaging, up-beat, positive energy while serving all Members, Guests, and Teammates throughout the entire club. This person will also be responsible for upholding the distinguished reputation and high standards of cleanliness and friendliness we have built within our facilities. Bonuses may be available for hitting revenue goals tbd by upper management.
SALES MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum (1) year Leadership/Management experience in an educational, fitness or professional setting.
Minimum (2) year Sales experience in customer service Proven ability to work with & train team members, to both listen & delegate
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess honesty and personal integrity Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry

  • Current CPR/AED certification (must be current for entirety of employment)

Computer literate on the Microsoft Suite Must be hardworking, diligent, and organized

PRIMARY SALES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES: The SALES Manager will be directly responsible for increasing top line revenue within their club and held accountable for:

  • Growing and retaining the member base of your given club
  • Managing staff on day-to-day performance relative to your department
  • Continually train, practice, and role play sales-related scenarios

Ensuring the team is well-versed in our member agreement, billing dates, cancellation policies, and similar. Achieving & sustaining high tour conversion & mystery shop scores

  • Conducting regular assessments of team members’ sales abilities

Teaching Mood Lifters to sell honestly, be forthright, upfront, & transparent staff (including the other managers) in sales processes; ie. overcoming objections, fact finding, building rapport, etc. Launching initiatives for upselling opportunities within the club
Designing and executing initiatives to increase and convert referrals/guests Daily outreach to every new member in pursuit of converting memberships into a higher priced tier Preserving member base with cancellation save strategies & incentives

  • Brokering partnerships with local community organizations & businesses

Building upon existing relationships and generating new outside sales opportunities with our current community partners Streamlining sales strategies by engaging in collaborative opportunities for business growth within the market Organizing company appearances at events Following up with members/prospects with a sense of urgency & excitement Building brand presence for initiatives on social media Seeking new innovative ways for community engagement

  • Execute initiatives that support the delivery of the Blink Member Experience

SECONDARY SALES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SALES Manager will support the CLUB, PT, and FLOOR Managers in the following:

  • Assist in driving Personal Training revenue through sales training for PT dept

Assist Floor with active participation in maintaining our cleanliness and organization on the floor and at the front desk Answering phones with positive and energetic manner Knowing when to refer Members and Guests to other managers

  • Assist the CM in new hire interview processes when necessary
  • Train and develop new staff on the responsibilities relative to SALES
  • Coordinating with management team to create engaging in-club events and promotions throughout the year

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold unbeatable CLEANLINESS & FRIENDLINESS standards in ALL that we do
  • Facilitate new Member sign-up and Guest trial transactions.

Maintain high levels of organization in all areas in the Club. Maintain high visibility throughout the Club. Ensure the safety of Members, Guests and Team. TAKE PRIDE AND HAVE FUN!
