• Practice and uphold Casa de Corazon’s mission and priorities
• Abide by organizations policies and procedures in employee and parent hand books
• Enforce the “Food Safety Procedures” and assist in the Kitchen when needed.
• Be present at your designated center when visits from DHS Department of Health (annual inspections)
• Be present at your designated center when Fire Alarms annual inspections
• Help to maintain a clean, organized kitchen
• Abide by “Handling and serving food policy”
• Get the Food Safety Certification after 90 days of employment.
• Make sure to check food when delivered to ensure safety for kids (exp. Dates, NO peanut butter flavors in any snack)
• Assist in classrooms when necessary, maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the children
• Repair, retouch and maintain facilities in good condition and equipment.
• Sort furniture, toys, supplements, and ingredients in the kitchen (when needed)
• Sort, buy, deliver supplement, food
• Plan and implement the menu, participate in plan changes for current menus.
• Arrange transportation for field trips, and drive the children from the center and back.
• Participate in classrooms and support Directors
• Take initiative to implement or help with special projects
• Open and close the center when necessary
• Snow Removal: clear and salt the parking lot and sidewalks prior to drop off and pick up (arrive prior to opening when it snows)
• Clear Playground when its 20 degrees or higher
• Maintain landscaping including weeding, planting, lawn moving, leaf removal & mulch.
