The Raleigh House of Hope is a nationally recognized substance abuse treatment provider. Integrating traditional, holistic and experiential therapies, we support clients to actively participate in their recovery. Here clients grow and heal through individual and group therapies, equine and art therapy, indoor rock-climbing, horticulture and gardening, meditative yoga with a trauma-informed facilitator, and walk our outdoor walking trail.

The Raleigh House of Hope is looking to hire a Behavior Health Technician for their WATKINS Location.

At the Raleigh House BHTs provide structure and supervision for clients in the milieu, as well as an important source of role modeling appropriate boundaries, communication and responsibility.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain a schedule of events and activities. Participate with clients at scheduled events to model healthy engagements and positive attitudes.
• Complete medication counts during every shift and complete required documentation.
• Conduct UA drug and breathalyzer testing. Assure chain of custody and complete documentation.
• Track attendance of clients throughout your shift at groups, sessions, activities, and events.
• Oversee milieu during shift: chores, activities and interactions, routine checks and vitals.
• Participate in transitioning new clients into including reviewing rules/expectations, scheduling, chore assignments, schedule, etc.
• Facilitate check-in/out meetings, milieu meetings, mindfulness/meditation, and psycho-education groups; provide full and appropriate documentation of such in the EMR within 24 hours of provision.
• Understand and participate in all safety drills and provide organized and effective leadership in drills and real emergencies.

Education and Other Employment Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CAC/CAT preferred, not required.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation.
• Experience with treatment facilities and/or addictions and mental health populations preferred.
• Must undergo a pre employment drug screen.
