BCS Dance Teacher Job at Bethel Church of Redding
Bethel Christian School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching dance, have a strong background in various dance styles, and be committed to educating and inspiring students of all ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities:
- Pastoring a classroom of students, leading them in their connection with God, leading others in their connection with God through performing arts.
- Teach a variety of dance styles, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and others.
- Create choreography and lead rehearsals for recitals & performances,
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student creativity and growth.
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students to help them develop their technique and skills.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty and staff to support the school's mission and goals.
- Attend school events and meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in dance or a performing arts-related field.
- Experience teaching dance at the K-8 level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for drama and the performing arts.
- Ability to work effectively with students of all backgrounds and abilities.
