Job Summary: Perform various custodial duties to include daily cleaning of restrooms, lounges, offices, classrooms and corridors in accordance with standard operating procedures of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules using the prescribed methods.

· Dust horizontal/vertical surfaces.

· Empty and remove waste or recycles trash receptacles.

· Damp wipe down all furniture.

· Clean metal and porcelain fixtures in restrooms.

· Dry and wet mop floors in offices, classrooms, lounges, etc.

· Spot clean walls, windows and metal surfaces.

· Replenish restroom supplies.

· Assist in cleaning of spills.

· Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report all repairs needed.

· Observe and report the need of furniture or other building fixtures repairs.

· Ensure all doors are locked or unlocked as scheduled and report all suspicious activities.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds.

· In case of emergency, perform duties as assigned.

· Complete all other assigned tasks in which the employee is capable of performing.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned
• Ability to stand, climb, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Good communication skills and organization skills
• Interest in self-development, willingness to learn, and ability to succeed in a team environment

· Must have a valid Driver's License for positions requiring driving the company vehicle.

• Ability to speak and follow detailed written instructions.
• Courtesy and tact in dealing with guests, co-workers, as well as others in the college community

Work Environment: Majority of time spent in offices, classrooms, and lounges. Position requires frequent use of chemical products. Must follow safety guidelines for cleaning products and equipment use at all times. Job requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
