BARISTA/HUB ASSOCIATE Job at The Grove Community Church
The Groves Hub Ministry creates an inviting environment for visitors, church members and guests. The Hub Cafe & Coffee Bar is a fun and fast paced café and coffee shop that provides excellent service during busy times at the church. We are looking for smiling faces & energetic loving individuals to join our team. No experience necessary, as full training is provided, but a willing spirit and heart to serve others is must.
Reports to: Hub Ministry Director
Works with: Hub employees, baristas, and volunteers
Works: Part-Time, hourly, 12-16 hours per week, including mid-week morning, evening, and weekend shifts
Food 75%
- Make all specialty drinks available in the coffee bar to serve to customers.
- Warm pastries and food items available for purchase.
- Clean and maintain equipment in coffee bar, as well as the Hub and dining areas.
- Perform frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service in all café areas.
- Wash dishes as necessary.
- Ensure sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; comply with all health and safety regulations.

- Customer Service skills.
- Register sales on cash register.
- Cash management and counting.
- Set up banquet facilities when needed.
- Serve buffet lines.
- Clean and maintain all front of house, kitchen area and equipment.
- Deep cleaning of kitchen, walk in, freezer and Hub areas once per week.
- Stock supplies from the back of house to the front of house once per week.
- Receive orders when needed.
Requirements
- Riverside County Food Handlers Permit (may test for after position acquired)
