SUMMARY

Duties include, but not limited to preparing pastries, and baked goods for all outlets of the department as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accountable for assisting in the production of all baked goods including the ability to mix, bake and finish the products.
• Ability to read and follow directions from set recipes.
• Ability to calculate formulas accurately to ensure consistency.
• Must have an understanding of sanitation procedures and ensure all procedures are being followed.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment regularly throughout the shifts as needed.
• Ability to follow a production schedule for variety and quantities of goods to be baked.
• Ensure rotation of products to promote the freshest product available and to control waste.
• Ability to identify and order products needed for production in the absence of the Head Baker.
• Assist in the creation of new menu items.
• Follow all company procedures and health regulations at all times.
• Assist with any shipping or receiving when necessary.
• Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
• This position will require cross-training for both front and back of the house operations.
• Any other assigned duties deemed necessary by F&B Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• One (1) year experience in baking for a high-volume food service preference.
• Must have a working knowledge of the daily operations and special events.
• Must posses a team player attitude.
• Must be able to carry out tasks with or without supervision.
• Must be able to communicate in English including reading and writing.
• Able to obtain ServSafe certification.
• Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

• Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an environment with extreme heat and or cold.
• If applicable must have the ability work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain and higher than normal noise levels.
• Ability to use sharp knives safely and proficiently.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift.
• May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards.
• Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
