The AVP, Operations will have regional responsibility for ambulatory surgery centers and other outpatient operations. The AVP is responsible for overseeing the operations, finance and partnership management of assigned facilities. The AVP is responsible for growth in case volume from existing physicians and recruitment of new physicians, as well as implementing new procedures and specialty lines. The AVP is responsible for the overall budgets and EBITDA growth of the centers. The AVP is responsible for cultivating a culture at the centers that ensures quality metrics being exceeded, safety of our patients, physicians, and staff, and demonstrate leadership of all center employees.

Responsible for implementation of annual budget process at the centers

Monthly review of financial performance of each center with administrator
-
Monthly review of center clinical and financial metrics of each center with administrator

Report to center Board/Partnership financial performance of the center

Ensure compliance with all state/federal regulations
-
Ensure accreditation with designated association (JCAHO, AAASC, AAAASF, etc.)

Actively recruit new physician utilizers and physician partners
-
Build positive relationships with existing utilizers and partners
-
Identity new procedures/specialties to be performed
-
Engage with Health Systems/corporate resources to implement new procedures/specialties in the center

Coordinate corporate resources to provide support to assigned centers

Oversee the performance of revenue cycle management at assigned centers

New hire training for administrators

Providing center support during searches for new administrators

Provide training of monthly financial statements
-
Provide cost containment analysis and strategies

Provide training on key performance indicators

Attend Governing Board Meetings

Attend Partnership Meetings

Management of Partnership Operating Agreement

Physician Succession Planning

Communication with Health System Partners

Maintain community and industry awareness
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-
Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred. Equivalent experience considered.

Healthcare business operations with minimum five years’ experience.

Demonstrated experience in business development, finance, and consulting.

Ability to develop growth strategies.

Must exhibit strong leadership and people management skills.

Ability to articulately communicate with excellent verbal, written and formal presentation skills.

Must work will with physician partners, administrators, health system partners, and corporate resources.

Possess fluent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) analytical and presentation skills

Strong financial communication skills communicating financial results to health system and physician partners.

Strong mathematical aptitude to assist with financial budgeting, reporting and analysis.

Possess strong time management skills.
