Responsibilities: As a franchise Parts Specialist you will be responsible to assist the parts manager in running a profitable and efficient parts department by utilizing proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staffing efficiencies, pricing strategies, merchandising and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Parts Manager to accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures and inventory control
  • Perform parts estimates for all RO's internal and customer pay in a time efficient manner
  • Work with the Service Department to ensure parts are in-stock or ordered in a timely manner as needed for all scheduled repairs. Along with running parts to technicians when needed.
  • Assist with training and supervise all parts counter associates to meet department and company goals; handle stock order procedures
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints courteously and professionally as needed
  • Keep up-to-date on manufacturer warranty, policy, and return procedures
  • Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date
  • Administer and maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the manufacturer.
  • Utilize available pricing parameters and strategies to generate sufficient profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Ensure inventory is appropriate to meet internal and external customer demand while controlling obsolete and excess inventory.
  • Ensure full compliance with manufacturer parts and warranty policies, procedures and rules.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience in a franchise automotive parts position
  • DealerTrack experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic required
  • Detail oriented and organized self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
