Automotive Front End, Steering and Suspension Technician Job at Dimmitt Chevrolet
Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL is looking for a well rounded Automotive Technician with front end, steering and suspension experience. Most work will be provided from our extremely busy Body Shop and Collision Center.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate damaged and/or bent parts
- Hang new parts
- Complete final alignments
- Primary tasks will involve hanging new parts to bring vehicles back to pre-accident condition.
- Occasional air bag replacement, engine R&R, frame swap
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Notify Body Shop Manager immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Document work performed.
- Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician
- Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license (No DUI convictions)
- Must have a good driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (No felony convictions)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
