Position Overview:
As a Service Technician, you represent our service department and dealership in a big way. The Technician will diagnose vehicle service problems and make necessary repairs and adjustments in a professional, quality manner.

  • You consistently meet or exceed productivity and service standards
  • You have 2 + years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, along with diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • You continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology

Essential Functions:

  • Perform quality repairs on assigned repairs. Fix the vehicle right the first time! Then, make a quality check after each repair.
  • Advise Service Writer of needed repairs, including parts needs, and advise the manager of any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions on the repair order.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities.
  • Ensure current knowledge of the latest technical data and service procedures.
  • Attend required service training sessions or meetings and share expertise with others.
  • Maintain essential tools necessary to complete assigned jobs.
  • Maintainability to use all company equipment and tools correctly or seek assistance as needed. Clean and lock up all tools daily.
  • Perform all repairs in assigned work areas unless otherwise instructed by the Group Leader.

Automotive Technician Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have a favorable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, including a drug screen for illegal substances
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
