Associate Director

40 hour per week position, hours dependent upon agency needs.

Supervisor: Executive Director

Job Description: This position is responsible for supporting the Executive Director in all aspects of the operations and management of the agency and all ongoing programs.

This includes, but is not limited to: fund development, public relations, staff support and leadership, managing the daily agency operations to include grant reports, shelter repairs as the budget allows, and support of in-shelter clients as necessary.

The Associate Director will:

· Agency Management

o Fiscal management to include payroll completion and coordination of accounts payable and receivable

o Survey tracking and improvement

o Assist with Fund Development to include fundraiser events

o Donor Relations Management

o Assist in managing public relations by overseeing the PAVE website, Instagram, and Facebook page

o Assist with posting jobs, interviews and hiring new staff when needed

o Coordinate new hire training and orientation

· Program Management/Coordination

o Provide leadership to all staff during staff meetings, special events, etc.

o Back up to all programming needs, including on-call rotation and attendance at community meetings as necessary

o Hold monthly meetings with Program Lead staff to evaluate program and progress of grant goals

o Coordinate activities for outreach months in conjunction with Program Leads

o Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency

o Write quarterly reports for each program as required by grantors and assist with grant writing

o Provide supervision and management to Shelter Staff.

· Shelter Operations Management

o Run errands as needed to manage the daily shelter operations (pick up donations, milk, eggs, mail)

o Support in-shelter clients as needed

o Share in on-call duties

· Program Facilitation

· Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications:

· An bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human services or related field preferred

· Experience in program management/coordination

· Ability to deal effectively with crisis situations

· Demonstrated ability in public speaking

· Demonstrated professional writing skills, preferably in grant writing

· Demonstrated professionalism and sound judgment with a high degree of responsibility

· Ability to positively lead a group

· Adherence to confidentiality policy

· Ability to work objectively with diverse populations

· Understanding of the dynamics and issues of domestic abuse, child abuse, and sexual assault with a strong commitment to providing service to victims of violence

· Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

The shift time will vary based on client and agency needs to include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. This position is required to work some holidays (16-24 hours annually) and at times, may require working overtime hours and long shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
