Position Summary
The Associate Advisor supports the Lead Advisors in providing advice, planning, and personalized service throughout our client life-cycle. This involves participating in the process to capture and onboard prospective clients, learning the behind-the-scenes operations that makes our business function, providing high-level personal client service that our clients enjoy, and supporting the lead advisors with advice and planning targeted to our clients’ goals. We seek a person who is team oriented, enjoys working with people, has technical skills, and is motivated to grow in their knowledge, responsibility, and role at Skyline Advisors. We expect the associate advisor to learn and achieve licenses and credentials that further their knowledge and capabilities, and to progress into a lead advisor position with our mentoring and guidance.
Qualifications and Characteristics:
-Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university, or 2 years of related experience
-Degree in Business -Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred
-Series 65 license required within first 6 months of employment
-Certified Financial Planner designation or willingness to obtain CFP®
-Skilled communicator who enjoys personal interactions
-Show good judgement, reliability, and trustworthiness
-Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to develop solutions to complex problems
-Exhibits professional poise, patience, understanding, and tact
-Comfortable dealing with confidential, personal, and sensitive information
Role:
-Train with our service staff to learn how we provide high-level service to our clients
-Learn to be proficient with our back-office technology and systems that operate our business
-Communicate effectively with prospects and clients directly to provide support and service for their administrative needs
-Prepare documents for clients, schedule appointments, and help manage day to day business operations
-Prepare lead advisors for upcoming meetings and conduct planning/investment research
-Training to work with clients to assess their financial situation, identify their financial goals, and develop a customized financial plan
-Training to provide expert advice on investments, retirement planning, insurance, taxes, and estate planning
-Monitor and review clients' financial plans regularly, making adjustments as necessary to ensure they stay on track to achieve their goals
-Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the financial industry and incorporate them into your advice and recommendations
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service by honoring our company values, Honesty, Integrity, and Trust
-Collaborate with other financial professionals, such as accountants and attorneys, to provide comprehensive financial solutions for clients
-Learn and grow within our community, our profession, our team, and cultivate a passion to learn how to better serve our clients

Entry level applicant base compensation is $60,000 - $85,000 DOE
Mid-High level applicant base compensation is higher and dependent on experience
