Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment to promote the positive development of children
- Provide developmentally appropriate curriculum to promote the physical and intellectual growth of children
- Provide positive guidance to support the social and emotional development of children
- Establish positive and productive relationships with families to provide consistency and support
- Maintain a commitment to professionalism and to continue to improve as a teacher
- General knowledge and operation of basic office equipment (Computers/keyboards/fax machines/copiers/telephones)
- Follow and comprehend Instructions
- Supportive and friendly to co-workers; children; parents;
- Maintain successful attendance and performance standards
- Able to meet physical demands of position
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, and completion of 45 hour course in child development approved by licensing or one 3 credit higher education course in early childhood development to be completed within one year of employment.
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
