Turning Point Community Programs is seeking an Assistant Program Director for our Coloma Center in Roseville. GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, this position is responsible for assisting the Program Director in all areas of program management, as needed, and is responsible for the supervision of all assigned staff in the absence of the Program Director.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an at-will leadership position within a program. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff who perform the established duties of the program. This is a management position responsible for all phases of the management process within the assigned program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

  • Monitors productivity and intervenes as appropriate.
  • Assists with chart audits, internal and external utilization review.
  • Reviews and co-signs treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Provides clinical consultation as needed.
  • Provide trainings to staff as appropriate.
  • Attends outside meetings (county, other agencies) in absence of Program Director.
  • Problem solves communication difficulties between staff and members by providing intervention to enhance communication.
  • Oversees all clinical service delivery; conduct individual and group therapy (hours per week negotiable).
  • Provides support to other staff members as needed.
  • Responsible for insuring the health, safety and welfare of all staff and members.
  • Assist with completing reports and performance outcomes as requested.
  • Provides prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation; provides “on-the-spot” counseling that is both helpful to the residents and consistent with the philosophy of the program.
  • Completes paperwork as assigned.
  • Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
  • Attends staff meetings unless approval for non-attendance is secured from the Program Director.

  • Principles and goals of community mental health.
  • Principles and goals of the “consumer/family driven model.”
  • Psychosocial rehabilitation’s treatment and programming.

  • Understand budgeting requirements and budgetary implications for programming.
  • Work effectively under stress and conflict.
  • Exercise appropriate judgment and decision making.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in any given situation.

  • Supervise staff, delegate responsibility, and provide leadership and training.
  • Be well organized, flexible, and self-disciplined.
  • Plan, organize, implement and evaluate programs.
  • Get to multiple locations typically via car.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and as needed to complete assignements

Compensation: $64,480 - 81,500 per year with a $1000 sign on bonus
