Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire an on site Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Woodbrook Apartments! This apartment community has 234 units and is located in Gardendale, AL.

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Property Manager in overseeing the daily activities of the apartment community. Some key responsibilities consist of ensuring the property is efficiently maintained, units are occupied, rental payments are received, reports are updated, resident issues are resolved, and renewal leases are completed. The assistant property manager reports directly to the property manager. This job is perfect for a team player who is motivated by setting and upholding standards to make their property stand out from the rest.


Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining occupancy goals for the property
  • Supervision and development of the leasing staff
  • Ability to maintain property appearance
  • Administer tours and answer questions for perspective residents
  • Attention to resident concerns and overall resident satisfaction for the property
  • Implementing and enforcing community policies
  • Using marketing strategies to secure prospective residents
  • Marketing outreach within nearby community
  • Assist management with posting of rent
  • 2+ years of experience in the multi-family housing or hospitality industry is preferred
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication, organization and leadership traits
  • Strong attention to detail and sales ability
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Entrata or related programs a plus
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Professional and polished image
  • High-school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug test
  • Valid Driver's License
