Assistant Daycare Director - MATERNITY COVERAGE January-May 2022 - Baldwinsville, NY

Little Lukes Preschool and Childcare Center is the leader in early childhood education and preschool education in Onondaga and Oswego counties. We are growing!

Currently accepting applications for a full time Assistant Director to cover maternity leave January -May 2022 for 3-4 months plus ample training time. Leader must have early childhood and supervisory experience to support our dynamic team of early childhood and therapy professionals. Preference for experience with preschool children with special needs, special education, speech therapy, PT and OT. Successful candidate could transfer to a classroom position at end of maternity leave, if desired.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all program operations and ensure that they support the philosophy of the organization
  • Assist to Recruit, orient, supervise, train, and develop the team. Ensure a positive team atmosphere.
  • Develop and regularly monitor systems to ensure all quality assurance practices; regulatory agency requirements; timely and comprehensive child and family intake; meeting concerns and needs of participating families.
The skills the candidate must possess for success in this position are excellent written and oral communication skills, customer-focused attitude, ability to multitask and have a proven track record assisting to manage a childcare center or preschool, knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills, successful background implementing organizational policies and procedures in a facility, and demonstrate success in a leadership role in the implementation of quality initiatives. The ideal candidate also has knowledge of preschool and childcare licensing regulations.

Education & Experience Baseline Requirements:
  • Experience in childcare center and supervisory experience
