Description of Job:
The Louisa County Commonwealth Attorney's Office seeks an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney. This position is for an entry level candidate to review body worn camera video, jail calls, comply with discovery and other litigation support. Candidate will assist in the Juvenile and Domestic, General District and Circuit Courts. The candidate will also write briefs in opposition and other legal documents. The ideal candidate must be okay in limited court appearances due to the time commitment of discovery and case review logistics. However, we envision this position as a building block to move into the courtroom.
Special Requirements:
Active Membership in good standing in the Virginia State Bar and a license in good standing from the Virginia Supreme Court.
