What are we looking for?
We are looking for an Assistant Center Director / Lead Coding Instructor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. This is a dual role that assists the Center Director with sales and operations while also overseeing the day-to-day coaching and student engagement in the dojo (classroom). Responsibilities include:
- Assist Center Director as needed with leads in CRM, conducting tours and sales for new enrollments
- Be responsible for daily operations for the Center including opening, closing, managing staff and more when the Center Director is not on site
- Training – go through the curriculum and learn it to coach students
- Monitor technology trends and create activities and events to enhance the student experience
- Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow
- Work with children to determine skill sets
- Provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour
- Report daily to Center Director with respect to day’s activities, efficiency & productivity in the dojo
- Uphold corporate standards with respect to center cleanliness & operational standards
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt, be flexible, multi-task and be perceptive to center dynamics, parent requests and kid's needs
Qualifications:
- College graduates or coding boot camp graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience working with the general public
- Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or sharp enough to quickly pick up the basic concepts
- Past positions of responsibility involving the development of children, especially kids 7 and older, as an instructor, camp counselor, lifeguard, coach, parent, etc.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, social media, and other cloud-based services
- Must be fun to work with and like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently
- Reliable Transportation

Preferred Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Leadership: 1 year
- Microsoft Office: 1 year
- Working with kids and parents: 2 years
Additional Compensation:
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Orland Hills, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Clerical/Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
