Our Fletcher, NC facility is looking for Assembly Technicians. This position is responsible for the assembly of carriers and components for tandem front and rear heavy duty drive axles according to standard work instructions and engineering specifications in a safety and quality driven manner.

The Assembly Technician will work in a team environment while using systems and processes such as no-fault forward, mistake avoidance, alert systems, and self and succession checks to ensure no issues are passed to the next operation. In the event any issues or non-conformities are discovered, the Assembly Technician must follow procedures and/or escalate to the Team Lead or Facilitator.

Candidates are expected to work with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, dial indicators and micrometers to ensure required specifications are met. Candidates must also be able to read, comprehend and execute work instructions as well as read and comprehend bills of materials and control panels.

All safety requirements such as proper use of all PPE, safe machinery operation and hand tool operation must be followed. 5-S standards are expected. Candidates are also required to actively participate in employee engagement and Kaizen events to assist in achieving site initiatives as outlined in the Meritor Production System.

Nuestras instalaciones de Fletcher, NC están buscando técnicos de ensamblaje. Esta posición es responsable del ensamblaje de soportes y componentes para ejes de transmisión de servicio pesado delanteros y traseros en tándem de acuerdo con las instrucciones de trabajo estándar y las especificaciones de ingeniería de una manera impulsada por la seguridad y la calidad.

El técnico de ensamblaje trabajará en un entorno de equipo mientras utiliza sistemas y procesos como el avance sin fallas, la prevención de errores, los sistemas de alerta y las comprobaciones de autonomía y sucesión para garantizar que no se pasen problemas a la siguiente operación. En caso de que se descubra algún problema o no conformidad, el Técnico de Ensamblaje debe seguir los procedimientos y / o escalar al Líder del Equipo o Facilitador.

Se espera que los candidatos trabajen con instrumentos de medición de precisión como pinzas, indicadores de dial y micrómetros para garantizar que se cumplan las especificaciones requeridas. Los candidatos también deben ser capaces de leer, comprender y ejecutar instrucciones de trabajo, así como leer y comprender listas de materiales y paneles de control.

Se deben seguir todos los requisitos de seguridad, como el uso adecuado de todos los EPI, el funcionamiento seguro de la maquinaria y el funcionamiento de las herramientas manuales. Se esperan estándares 5-S. Los candidatos también deben participar activamente en el compromiso de los empleados y en los eventos Kaizen para ayudar a lograr las iniciativas del sitio como se describe en el Sistema de Producción Meritor.
