Computer renderings and sketches allowpromptlytheThe high-end residential design firm, Colton Broadbent Design, is looking for an Architectural Draftsman to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding firm. This position would work under the direction of the Owner and Principal Designer, Jr. Designer, and Lead Architectural Draftsman.

The role of our Architectural Draftsman is responsible for developing and producing beautiful architectural design deliverables such as graphic presentations, renderings, and construction drawings that are easily readable and visually appealing. Duties include but are not limited to:

Company Responsibilities

• Translate hand-drawn and digital sketches into Revit and other modeling software.
• Revit Floor Plan Annotating/Design
• Overseeing and confirming zoning laws
• Editing/Redlining Chief and Revit Models
• Collaborating with Drafting Team
• Creating/Finding new Materials
• Rendering Materials and framing shots
• Adding entourage and vegetation
• Identify architectural issues and propose problem-solving design solutions
• Coordinate with firm, consultants, and clients to meet overall project objectives
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and collaborator coordination
• Prioritize deliverables and maintain focus on multiple projects at once
• Beginning to lay the groundwork for plans to be developed in Revit to allow accurate square footage projections and assist the drafting team.
• Any questions from DDS team about CB Design operations and coordination will direct questions to CPO
• Have an eye for detail and create presentable floor plans, elevations, and models for client presentations in a timely manner
• Attend client meetings over zoom and navigate the model through Revit and Lumion

Qualifications

• Three to five years of residential design experience is preferred
• Autodesk Revit
• Adobe Creative Suite—Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Procreate/hand rendering capabilities
• CAD Software
• Chief Architect is a plus
• Fluency in the foundations of classical architecture and design
• Background in design, art, or architecture
• Collaborative communication skills with the ability to take direction with a receptive attitude
• Interpersonal skills and self-awareness
• Leadership skills to grow into the role of a mentor, manager, and advisor
• Ability to be productive with minimal supervision
