Job title: AR Supervisor – Cash Application

Reports to: Accounts Receivable Manager

Supervisory responsibilities: AR Specialists – Cash Application

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time position, typically 8am to 5pm, with an hour lunch break. Additional hours may be necessary.

Summary: The AR Supervisor – Cash Application will ensure that all incoming cash is recorded accurately and timely.

Essential functions:

• Supervise Cash Application Specialists, hiring and training as needed
• Provide daily bank deposit information to specialists for posting
• Process and remotely deposit checks received locally
• Maintain Daily Cash Worksheet
• Review daily deposits for accuracy
• Ensure all cash entries are completed and tie to bank data prior to month end
• Create and enter journal entries required to correct misapplications
• Reconcile cash or undeposited funds accounts as needed

Competency/Abilities:

• Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and their relationship to one another
• Must be a flexible team player who can adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete related results as needed
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Must project a positive, friendly and service oriented attitude
• Strong interpersonal skills, must work well with peers and management
• Maintains good attendance and adherence to a regular work schedule, strong work ethic
• Maintains confidentiality internally and externally, adherence to company policy

Work environment: The position requires the employee to work in an office environment.

Physical demands: The position primarily requires sitting, typing and viewing a computer. Other less frequent physical demands include bending and lifting.

Travel: Travel is not expected, but could occur.

Preferred education and experience: Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred, but will consider appropriately related experience in lieu of a degree. One year of accounting experience preferred.

One year of cash application experience required, supervisory experience preferred.
