The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks an Applications Trainer, Quality Assurance to be part of a team of professionals who provide application support to various database applications. This position acts as a lead user resource, whose responsibility entails assessing training needs, developing training materials, and providing initial and ongoing training and first-level support for NextGen, CCH ’s electronic health records (EHR), practice management system (PM), and ancillary modules and interfaces. The position will also maintain an understanding of various specialty and department requirements and processes in order to optimize workflows. This position is located at 2130 Stout St., Denver, Colorado 80205 and reports to the Database Applications Manager.

Essential Job Functions
1. Facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching. Delivers technical training programs employing virtual, video course, and instructor-led delivery options.
2. Designs training materials, including reference guides, training videos, and job aids and identifies and implements improvements in training materials and documentation.
3. Maintains current knowledge of specialty and departmental functions and workflows, application functionality, and training methodology.
4. Creates best practice sharing and maintains training standards and consistency across applications.
5. Conducts needs assessments with user groups, determines skill level for end users, and proactively develops targeted training based on identifying opportunities for training.
6. Collaborates with support and clinical teams to develop course objectives and builds trainings in alignment with meeting agreed upon objectives.
7. Becomes a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for priority applications to reinforce training effectiveness.
8. As a Trainer, capable of providing application support, user set up, and limited troubleshooting.
9. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for opportunities.
10. Create and maintain a positive, professional, vibrant learning environment in order to engage group and individual trainees.
11. Provides continuous and timely information in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction, keeping users and team members abreast of major problems and escalation progress.
12. Meet required COVID-19 vaccination(s), as defined by applicable law, regulation, or guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Professional training experience required, preferably in a healthcare related field.
3. Professional/technical experience involving clinical workflow/operations in NextGen preferred.
4. Experience in a Community Health Center highly preferred.
