Osceola Gynecology is seeking a bilingual, enthusiastic Medical Answering Service Operator to join our medical practice team.
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for answering the phone, greeting callers, establishing reason for calling, and resolving issue by contacting appropriate person that can help the customer. The candidate is responsible of protecting patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information, insurance verification, and other clerical tasks.
The candidate must possess strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a must!
Medical Terminology is a must.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as human answering service during business hours for a doctor's offices GYN.
- Greet customers warmly and ask how to help.
- Transfer calls.
- Relay written messages by using Athena message.
- Page individuals and inform them of message.
- Refer caller to emergency numbers if necessary.
- File messages- make a note on each parents chart with date, time and reason for the call.
- Operate cord or cordless switchboard.
- Operate intercom if needed
- Schedule or cancel appointments.
- Answer caller's questions if possible or sent notification question to clinical staff to assist the patient
Type- Part time - Monday to Friday
Pay: $10 -$11 per hour
Education:
High school or equivalent
Experience:
Medical office 1 year (preferred)
Work Location:
Different office locations – no traveling
COVID 19 Precautions
Personal protective equipment provided / required.
Temperature screenings, social distancing guidelines in place
Sanitizing, disinfecting / cleaning procedure in place
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
