About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic, highly skilled Associate to lead the Americas HR Services Advisor team, providing leadership, support and guidance to the HR Advisors. We are committed to delivering our Promise thru HR support to our business. We are looking for an experienced leader who will be a role model of our leadership practices: Clarify, Inspire and Deliver. This Associate will be a member of our Global HRS Leadership team.

This position can be located at our Western Cluster facilities in either Flagstaff or Phoenix, AZ or our Eastern Cluster facility in Delaware, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the people leadership, organizational design, and strategy for the Americas HR Advisors team
  • Drive core processes and practices to support the development of HR Team members (C&C & P&D, PDM)
  • Identify learning and development needs for building capability and ensure all HR Advisor Associates have clear priorities, expectations, goals and opportunities to develop
  • Drive development of functional excellence
  • Identify expertise and capability within team
  • Create an engaging environment and ensure the overall health and integration of the team
  • Influence and provide input to the global HR Services strategy and game plan
  • Lead and drive global and local projects (i.e., Process Ownership for Better Together)
  • Collaborate with and proactively communicate with Americas HR Regional Partner leader and other key stakeholders in the function to understand and support the business and Associate needs as required
  • Identify key connections between the different HR disciplines and ensure alignment across the HR function

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership experience (minimum of 5 years of experience leading others)
  • Successful track record of developing followership, influencing others (including across regions and functions), and moving business initiatives forward
  • Demonstrated capability in process improvements
  • Understanding of HR business value and technical requirements
  • Experienced at boundary spanning across functions and making agreements which include plans for on-going dialogue and making adjustments as needed
  • Proven ability to think strategically, address current obstacles, and lay the foundation for the future while linking concepts to that deliver effective action
  • Proven ability to lead and influence within the HR function
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a geographically dispersed team through adaptive change and take action to drive necessary change
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

*Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. Locations not eligible for new remote work arrangements include: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
