What you’ll do:

• Actively promoting adoptions and encouraging adopters to take advantage of our risk-free “Adoption Guarantee”
• Learning about the personalities and traits of the adoptable pets in our care in order to promote their great qualities to prospective adopters
• Providing exceptional daily care, cleaning, enrichment, and training of the animals to keep them healthy, happy, and ready to enter into a new home
• Assisting at off-site adoption locations and events ensuring their success in reaching adoption goals, sales goals, and promotion of the organization
• Cross-training in Guest Relations and Retail duties, including but not limited to, licensing, fielding guest questions in person and over the phone, processing payments through QuickBooks and Shelter Buddy, admitting strays, and assisting with reclaims

What we’re looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year paid experience in the field of customer service required.
• One (1) year paid experience working with animals in a kennel, shelter or veterinary hospital preferred.

Location & Hours: Based at our Oceanside Campus. This position works a 4/10 Alternative Work Schedule.

Pay: Starting range is between $18.00 and $20.25 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium. The actual hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.
