Admissions Clerk Responsibilities:
- The Admissions Clerk is responsible for assisting in the admission/intake process for all patients. This includes coordinating all intake requests with Clinical Liaisons and physicians, verifying insurances and obtaining authorizations as necessary, working with internal staff to determine preparedness for incoming patient, and communicating admission as necessary
- May assist the admission coordinator in maintaining and communicating accurate census records including admissions, discharges, room changes, transfers, etc.
- Responsible for working closely with all Payors and customers, ensuring accurate knowledge of facility, services provided and outcomes
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience in rehabilitation or closely related field.
- Data entry and experience in pre-authorization.
- Minimum two years' experience in rehabilitation or closely related field.
- The candidate for this position will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented and have ability to meet strict time frames.
