OBJECTIVE:
IT team expert in database design and data management. Provides database technical assistance and training to all IT staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be willing to work onsite
  • Reviews all database applications to ensure all database design, performance and security requirements are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring in house development source code is database server efficient.
  • Oversees the creation, documentation and scheduling of automated database processes. To include stored procedures and DTS packages.
  • Keeps inventory of production databases and ensures data integrity.
  • Coordinates with Networking Supervisor on disaster recovery of databases.
  • Mentors staff in database design and query optimization.
  • Assists IT team members with issues needing technical expertise and/or database knowledge.
  • Writes detailed documentation establishing standard policies and procedures for database centric applications.
  • Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine effects on database servers.
  • Coordinates with Networking Supervisor for all system upgrades and software installations that may effect database performance or integrity.
  • Performs other related duties as required by IT Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive technical presentations.2. Candidate will need to posses a comprehensive knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).3. Experience in a Hotel/Casino Information Technology environment is essential.4. Ability to effectively present information and respond to question from groups of managers, user community, fellow staff, vendors and the general public.5. Strong expertise with DTS packages, triggers and stored procedures is mandatory.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

1. A BS in Computer Science or at least 5 years of Information Technology experience required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1. A minimum of three years experience with Microsoft SQL Server is required. This will include extensive experience with DTS packages, triggers and stored procedures.2. A minimum of three years experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) is required.3. A least 2 years experience in a Hotel/Casino Information Technology environment is necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. In addition, stand or walk continuously for 2 hours or more.

Pay: $76,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
