Administrative Assistant Job at Revolutionary Home Health
The Administrative Assistant functions as an integral role in providing customer service to referral sources and patients and coordinating agency processes to facilitate the provision of quality patient care. The following serves as a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant position, however, individuals may be required to perform additional duties as requested not included in this general description.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answers incoming telephone calls and directs them to the appropriate department
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources
- Ensures compliance with state, federal, and CHAP regulation by managing the sending and receiving of physician orders and face-to-face documentation, including the required follow-up action to receive orders back timely (example: phone & mail follow-up)
- Scans and uploads required medical documentation into patient medical records
- Conducts customer service phone calls and patient satisfaction surveys to ensure provision of quality care
- Facilitates coordination of patient care by conducting customer service phone calls (the night prior to admission to give patients our contact information and verify phone numbers and the day after admission to ensure satisfaction with services rendered)
- Runs reports as indicated.
- Addresses requirements as needed as directed by billing staff to facilitate agency billing processes
- Assists with intake and scheduling department processes as requested by intake and scheduling coordinators
- Acts as a back-up to Intake Coordinator and/or Scheduling Coordinator in their absence
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year experience in health care office setting, preferably in home care operations.
- Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community
- Knowledge of governmental regulations, CHAP standards, and private payer practices
- Demonstrates good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
- Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
