JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant will manage all aspects of administrative support to the CFS and DD programs. The position requires data entry, tracking paperwork, and overseeing files to remain current regarding licensure, Medicaid, and other file requirements for programs related to the office. The Administrative Assistant must thoroughly know organization and program policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must be familiar with office terminology and must demonstrate proficiency in MS Word. Must be familiar with MS Excel program. Possess an excellent working understanding of electronic filing systems and email protocol. Must have skill in operating office equipment such as fax, copier, printer, postage meter, & shredder. Must maintain files and records. Possess good organizational and time management skills. Possess some problem-solving ability in the event of an emergency. Must communicate well verbally and in writing, comprehend directions, and articulate directions to others. Must professionally represent the organization on the telephone and in person with clients, visitors, and staff.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or general education diploma is required, with at least two years of secretarial and word processing experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must submit a current MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and possess a driving record that complies with DePaul Personnel Policies before hiring. Must be willing to have a criminal and child protective services (CPS) background report conducted upon hire. The applicant shall not have been convicted of any barrier crime(s) on the criminal background report. The applicant will have no founded disposition of child abuse or neglect as documented by the CPS background report. A non-negative pre-employment drug test result will result in termination of the employment process, or if employment has commenced, in termination of employment. Must obtain Notary Public certificate upon hire. The applicant must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.

Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
