Activity Assistant CNA Job at Gardena Convalescent Center
Gardena Convalescent Center is searching for a full-time Activities Assistant also providing scheduled activities for our residents, mostly in a group setting and also who will be a door screener for incoming staff and visitors.
Hours are from 8am thru 4:30pm
There may be additional hours available for special events.
We are looking for an individual who is caring, excited and self motivated without supervision. Orientation will be provided. Some activities experience is desired. Preferably a CNA.
Skills / Requirements
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. Must have patience, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their highest practical functioning level. Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activity programs. Must have a sincere desire to work with the aged. Must have some understanding of the social, psychological, and recreational needs of the aged. Should have aptitude and some training in arts and crafts.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. Compensation varies based on experience.
