Our client’s team is growing! In this new position as Accounts Payable Manager, will be responsible for managing day-to-day AP operations with a strategic focus towards people, process, and tools as we scale.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a high growth AP function and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will play a key role as we continue to evolve our P2P cycle for their Support Center and Partner practices located throughout the country. This role is heavily partner and vendor facing, and good communication skills are paramount.

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong customer service mindset, ensuring our Partner practices are receiving the best experience and service from the AP department
  • Contribute to the company success by driving compliant, accurate, timely and consistent processes ensuring all of our vendors are paid according to terms
  • Responsible for balancing day-to-day management of the AP workflow, overseeing AP staff in a fast-paced hybrid environment
  • Oversee continuous review and enhancement of process, functions, and capabilities to improve financial data quality while scaling the AP function over time
  • You will also be responsible for establishing monitoring metrics for your team to ensure team members are hitting goals
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and professional response to vendor payment inquiries
  • Evaluate our current AP state and apply transformative improvements to bring the group to best in class processes.
  • Carry out reconciliation, payment, and dispute resolution with suppliers
  • Ensure reporting deadlines are met, such as annual 1099 reporting
  • Ensure adherence of company polices in internal control and expense reimbursement
  • Continually review and set monitoring and efficiency metrics; including establishing staff responsibilities, payment parameters, and setting measurable goals
  • Effectively drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer service
  • Direct management of staff members, in a hybrid environment, including interviewing, hiring and termination, performance management, coaching, and mentoring
  • Ensure third party vendors are paid per the terms of the contract

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience
  • Minimum of 10 years in accounts payable
  • Experience ideally working in organizations with multi-site locations or divisions.
  • Experience working in high growth, fast-paced, ever-changing environment is a requirement
  • Experience utilizing mid-tier accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage, or Acumatica is a plus
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must possess a strong desire and ability to develop and manage a team in a hybrid working environment
