Accounts Payable Clerk Job at ECOPAX
Full Time 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM / Monday – Friday
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all accounting work that is associated with processing accounts payable, as well as submitting sales/use tax and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
· Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
· Process 3-way PO matching of invoices
· Process check requests
· Match invoices to checks
· Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
· Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
· 1099 maintenance which includes creating 1099s at year end, send copies to vendors and file with IRS
· Respond to all vendor inquiries
· Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
· Prepare and file tax sales tax returns
· Assist in month end closing
· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
· Assist with other projects as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
· At least two years of accounts payable experience
· Strong mathematical and analytical skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
