Accounting Analyst Job at Kubota Mfg of America Corp
Job purpose
The purpose of this position is to review the various costs in the system for accuracy. The position is also responsible for filing all personal property tax returns. The position also supports the Accounting Manager and the Director with monthly and yearly calculations aimed at completing timely and accurate monthly closings and annual projections.
Duties and responsibilities
- Review and maintain accurate parts cost in LX for KMA & KIE
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to Special Job Orders for KMA
- Maintain and post monthly journal entries related to Prepaid Expenses for KMA & KIE
- Prepare Monthly or Yearly Sales Tax Returns for KMA and KIE
- Prepare personal property tax returns, timely and accurately for all city, county and states for KMA & KIE
- Prepare monthly labor reports for Management
- Create and maintain New Vendor Set up for KMA & KIE
- Provide back up for Fixed Asset set up and Depreciation reports
- Prepare Daily Cash Requirements and coordinate funding with Kubota North America for KIE
- Create monthly bank reconciliations for KIE
- Post journal entries necessary for reconciling cash accounts accurately and timely
- Perform special projects as requested and related tasks as needed for KMA & KIE
Essential Skills and Experience
- College Degree or equivalent accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) skills
- Strong communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- English language competency and legible writing ability
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little oversight
Preferred Skills and Experience
- College Degree in Accounting
- General Accounting understanding and/or experience
- BPCS experience (or SAP Experience)
- SAGE (Fixed Asset Software)
