Summary:
This role is a direct report to the VP of Sales for our HIP division. The Account Manager, is responsible for driving the sales growth of Near Net Shape Hot Isostatic Pressing Product Fabrication (HIP) our Powdermet™ process (PF) by identifying and securing new business opportunities in both existing markets / customers as well as new application across the overall market space. The Account Manager is responsible for delivering revenue growth and profit targets aligned to the Divisional strategic business plan.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Drive HIP PF sales to the Assigned Market Sectors to meet budget and strategic plan revenue / profit targets.
  • Work with the VP Sales and Business Development, NA and the HIP PF Operations Team to define, develop and execute the HIP PF growth strategy for Near Net Shape Technology.
  • In cooperation with the PF Operations Team, establish necessary technical, quality and manufacturing capacity / capabilities, both internal and external, required to underpin and deliver the growth strategy.
  • Create coherent, credible and comprehensive value based NNS HIP Solutions targeted at key growth opportunities, underpinned by a detailed understanding of customer and market needs (technical, logistical, service, environmental. etc..
  • Collate and obtain competitor intelligence to build a detailed understanding of the technical, operational and economic strengths, capabilities and limitations of other NNS HIP providers as well as for competing technologies i.e. casting, forging etc.
  • Manage contractual agreements and ensure compliance with existing customers. Negotiate customer terms of business, including price agreements and preferential long term commercial agreements where appropriate with new customers to underpin long term business relationships and sustained sales revenues.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • Experience necessary – Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Sales, Engineering, Product Management or Business Development roles in the metal fabrication market.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualifications or experience)
  • Knowledge of materials, with a good understanding of customer engineering and supplier sourcing decision making processes
  • Excellent Value Based Selling and negotiation skills
  • Appreciation of HIP processes and capabilities, an understanding of competing processes such as casting and forging would be an advantage
