1.00 FTE Music Teacher for Grades PreK-4 and 7/8- December to June of the 2022-2023 School YearHinesburg Community School has an opening for a 1.0 FTE dynamic Music Teacher. A successful candidate is likely to possess the following qualifications: ?Has an understanding of equitable classroom practices, including restorative models, culturally responsive pedagogy, and an understanding of anti-bias / anti-racist practices.?Licensed in Vermont for K-12 general music?Experience with teaching general music at the PreK-4 level?Strong background in planning, implementing, and assessing standards-based curriculum ?Knowledge of the National Core Arts Standards for music?Strong vocal experience and ability to provide an appropriate vocal model for elementary ? students?Ability and desire to integrate music with other curricular areas?Ability to motivate each student to cultivate interest and lifelong enjoyment of music?Collaborating with others to support students of all abilities in music?Experience with the adaptive music programs and collaborating with special educators?Desire to effectively integrate 21st-century technology into the music classroom ?A team player who is flexible and collaborative?Strong leadership and communication skills?Strong preference for an Orff and Feierabend trained candidateIf you are a dynamic, energetic, collegial, and innovative individual we would love to talk with you about joining the Hinesburg Community School team.
