Death of an Account Holder

We require the following documents to facilitate the release of the funds on the account of a Deceased customer. You are required to have the documents notarized by a Notary Public, Lawyer or Bank officer with their stamp or seal affixed.

  • Letters of Administration/Probate. If prepared overseas, prior to submission,the Letters of Administration should be filed locally – check with a local lawyer to facilitate this.
  • Certified copy of the Death Certificate containing a Registrar’s seal or stamp.
  • Passbook for the account
  • Notarized authorization letter from the Executor/Administrator of the Estate, to close the account and containing instructions for proceeds.
  • Notarized copy of a picture identification of the Executor/Administrator (Passport or Driver’s Licence).
