Warehouse Support Clerk Job at SunSource
K+S Services (a SunSource Company), the industry leader in repair and refurbishment of manufacturing equipment is seeking a Shipping / Receiving Clerk in their Rocky Hill, CT facility. This position entails several essential responsibilities, including warehousing, inventory, shipping and receiving processes. Ensuring that all required information is documented, and the company work order system is updated accordingly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate fork truck (certification required) to load/unload LTL shipments.
- Warehouse management.
- Part preparation (painting).
- Ensure that inbound products are processed according to priority, receipt of all inbound products are processed within company guidelines, and that all pertinent information is entered into the work order system (RPCS) as required.
- Inspect inbound packages for damage/notify carrier of any damage claims or non-conformance.
- Inspect contents of inbound packages and verify quantity and description of items against inbound shipment documents.
- Photograph all inbound products as per company instructions.
- Record necessary information of inbound product into work order system (RPCS).
- Attach all required tags and other documentation to each received item.
- Notify Customer Service / Supervisor of any non-conformances.
- Interface with Customer Service, customers, and Sales to resolve issues / answer questions.
- Manage process to meet company metrics.
- Ensure that outbound products are properly packaged to prevent damage and that all shipments are delivered via customer / company requirements and priority, and that all shipment information is entered into the work order system (RPCS) as required.
- Take pictures of all outbound items prior to packaging and shipment.
- Prepare and attach all necessary shipping documents (written or electronic) to ensure that outbound products are delivered as required.
- Record necessary shipment information into work order system (RPCS) as required.
- Coordinate processes to meet company measures.
- Interface with Customer Service and Sales to resolve issues and answer questions.
- All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Effective communication skills (oral / written)
- Basic negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask
- No lifting restrictions
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience preferred
