Family-owned metal works company is looking to welcome an experienced warehouse associate to their team!

Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, which include but not limited to planning, organizing, and directing activities within the warehouse.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing, and directing activities within the warehouse to ensure that inventory levels are maintained
- Become an expert in all areas of the warehouse and warehouse responsibilities
- Communicating with management to ensure that orders are fulfilled according to schedule
- Monitoring employee productivity, and taking steps to improve performance where necessary
- Reviewing inventory records to ensure that the correct amount of product is available for use
- Ensuring that all warehouse equipment is working properly and that safety procedures are followed
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of orders
- Performing physical labor such as lifting, moving inventory to storage areas, or cleaning workspaces
- Assist in overseeing the flow of inventory through the warehouse by ensuring that it is accurately stored and cataloged
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Be able to work with a team and be a team player, not afraid to step in and assist in other departments
- Ability to communicate with customers effectively when needed
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Basic math and computer skills
- Able to understand and comprehend measurement
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols
Education and Experience:
- 2+yrs experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing environment
- Basic experience with hand tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Must be 18 years old
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in noisy environments
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials
