Warehouse Assistant Job at Alice and Olivia
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Warehouse Picker/ Packer is responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. Duties include operating pallet jack, and counting out the appropriate number of units to fulfill an order.
A Packer is responsible for fulfilling orders by scanning and folding units in shipping containers and preparing them for shipment. Duties include interpreting order invoices to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments, and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous warehouse experience is required
- Ability to use a radio frequency or barcode scanner
- In-depth knowledge of industry safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long hours
- Great self-independence and motivation
- In-depth knowledge of packing and shipping procedures
- Good knowledge of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
