The Volunteer Recruitment Manager plays a leading role in recruiting, building processes, and increasing communication with volunteer applicants with the goal of generating, cultivating, and converting prospective volunteers in a timely manner. Serving as the agency head of recruitment, the manager will be responsible for the number of volunteer mentors brought into our program and will manage volunteer recruitment, corporate engagement, and community outreach in the Santa Fe area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment Strategy and Planning

· Oversee the volunteer recruitment process for the Santa Fe region

· Build and recruit Big/Mentor committee that actively engages current volunteers, community leaders, board of director members, and staff to assist with recruitment of prospective volunteers

· Work with development and program staff to develop a long-term strategy for recruiting volunteer mentors

· Create and develop sustainable and manageable internal systems for efficient and informative prospecting, onboarding, and tracking of mentors, mentees, and families.

· Source and integrate technology that enhances a high-touch brand experience and nurtures leads to conversion, using a CRM platform to complete and track daily contacts and tasks.

· Execute a robust customer focused recruitment and engagement strategy including the development of messaging and communication.

· Develop an always available approach to recruitment that leverages technology such as automation, live chat, chatbots etc, easy to follow informational videos and FAQ pages.

· Host presentations to prospective organizations, companies, and its clients to relay the BBBS mission and volunteer recruitment opportunities

· Attend community-based events to recruit and educate volunteers prospective responsibilities, the organization’s mission, and any upcoming events

· Design formal or informal activities to recognize the contributions of volunteers to the organization

Data Analysis

  • Consistently analyze, interpret, and report data, trends, challenges, and opportunities that affect the recruitment strategy.
  • Work with the Director of Philanthropic Operations to optimize CRM (Salesforce) to track volunteer and corporate recruitment activity
  • Interpret and maintain data to properly keep track of unique trends that can affect processes and recruitment strategies, and suggest strategic improvements
  • Proactively review recruitment activity daily, summarize and report-out weekly, and demonstrate progress toward goals monthly.

Leadership and Influence

  • Build, manage and empower a Big/Mentor Recruitment Committee actively engaging mentors to recruit other mentors and event participants and create a strategy to leverage stakeholder networks.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and program staff to develop an agenda, reports, and dash boards for the Recruitment Committee.
  • Assist the Development Director in developing and stewarding strategic partnerships (e.g., chambers of commerce, corporations, government departments, law enforcement, etc.) to maintain a steady volume of mentor and mentee inquiries and agency supporters.

Team management

  • Revive recruitment team and ensure team member alignment to goals and metrics and coach the team to reach and exceed goals through quarterly metrics.
  • Serve as the leading point of the recruitment team, to encourage collaboration and consistent communication between all parties and offices.
  • Coach the recruitment team to plan events, campaigns, and community initiatives to bring in quality volunteers and families.
  • Ensure the recruitment team has the tools and resources they need to be successful in their roles.
  • Manage departmental expenses and effectively utilize the BBBS budget.

Corporate Engagement:

  • Work with Development Director to implement a comprehensive corporate sponsorship/giving/partnership strategy and program, including revenue generation for Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and other planned special events and functions
  • Identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate sponsorship prospects and partners as assigned by the Development Director.
  • Oversee corporate stewardship and fulfillment for assigned corporate partners focusing on a high level of customer service and customized stewardship/fulfillment activities.
  • Working with development team, meet fundraising goals for events in the way of securing sponsorships and assisting with overall Fund Development Plan
  • Set meetings with corporations, organizations, and individuals to develop partnerships, secure sponsorships, event participants, and increase community awareness and support
  • Assist development director and team in developing and implementing Fund Development Plan
  • Recruit and manage volunteer committees for Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and other planned special events and functions as assigned
  • Coordinate opportunities for corporate partners and volunteers to engage with and/or support the mission by working closely with the program team
  • Coordinate corporate partnership efforts with volunteer recruitment efforts
  • Evaluate corporate/business third party fundraising opportunities and lead/assign staff to lead the execution of approved opportunities
  • Identify and work with team to leverage corporate matching gift programs to maximize donor gifts.
  • Ensure local implementation of appropriate/relevant national corporate recruitment and fundraising opportunities
  • Work with Development Director to set and meet assigned corporate revenue, donor acquisition, donor retention and donor upgrade goals
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and accessible records for all activities, donors, and goals in CRM
  • Conduct yearly review and assessment of corporate engagement program, adjusting as necessary, in conjunction with the annual planning process
  • Support and lead other efforts of the development department as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of recruitment, sales, or related experience required
  • Excellent project management and time-management skills required
  • Highest level of customer service; 3+ years required
  • Proven track record of building successful external partnerships required
  • Experience executing events and meetings required
  • Expert level of public-speaking and presentation experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Zoom
  • CRM Management Experience
  • Experience using digital marketing resources for promotion, stewardship, and communication such as social media, email platforms like Mailchimp, and design tools like Canva
  • Familiarity with the social, cultural, and economic make-up of New Mexico
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Maintains confidentiality throughout daily operations
  • Able to maintain boundaries with clients
  • Access to a reliable automobile, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
