The Vocational Crafts Instructor is a hands-on position providing instruction in painting, mosaics, card making, and related crafts to adults with developmental disabilities, varying skill levels and support needs.

Shift : Full-time, Monday - Friday. 8:30 am- 3:30 am

Skills/ Requirements:

• 1 year related experience with IDD, HS/GED,
• hands on experience creating saleable crafts
• Degree in Art or related field preferred acceptable driving history & criminal background check, must receive a negative marijuana/drug screen
• Ability to obtain a Class B Driver's License is required.
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Creates and develops both therapeutic and vocational projects for adult clients; develops non-therapeutic projects suitable for sale or marketing.
• Works with adults with a wide range of ability levels.
• Writes lesson plans for daily activities.
• Responsible for supply maintenance and acquisition.
• Provides direct client training and support.
• Directs and supports teaching staff during arts and crafts activities.
• Assists with transitions, goal writing and data collection as needed, must be able to adapt materials and methods.
