Virtual Events Producer Job at Advocates for Human Potential, Inc.
Advocates for Human Potential is seeking a Digital Solutions (DS) Producer who will serve as an independent producer and/or production assistant for a variety of virtual events including meetings, webinars, virtual classrooms, expert panels, and others. This role also contributes to the creation of videos, podcasts, and other digital products and materials, working both independently and in collaboration with senior staff. The DS Associate contributes to website administration projects and supports the creation of accessible virtual products that are compliant with Section 508 requirements.
Daily tasks include activities such as developing event registration and communication templates, developing job aids and process documents, training and mentoring junior production staff, conducting speaker preparation sessions and event dry runs, communicating with clients, shaping presentation content for effective online delivery, conducting live events, speaking on and off webcam during presentations, applying high-level accessibility standards to electronic documents and deliverables, and other duties as assigned.
Digital Strategy is a cross-cutting function that supports all our business areas. This role requires a high level of comfort with multitasking, excellent time management, strong detail orientation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role also relies heavily on use of and adherence to documented processes for consistency and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Producer/production assistant on events.
Speaker and attendee preparation.
Develop event registration/ communications templates.
Create event marketing messages for registration/listserv.
Registration management.
Developer on podcasts, videos, etc.
Audio and video editing (intermediate).
Create job aids/process docs.
508 compliance (intermediate).
Design and build room layouts.
Provide staff training as directed.
Point of contact for technical support on events.
Maintain team SharePoint site and process documentation.
Develop informational materials on DS services (using existing content).
Create and update Smartsheet project plans.
Execute email/listserv, website, and social media campaigns and other activities as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2-4 years of relevant work experience in providing administrative, training, and/or webinar support; retail or service industry experience also helpful.
Experience with facilitating Web-based meetings or training events strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Zoom, Adobe Connect, WebEx, GoToMeeting, or other web conferencing tools strongly preferred.
Technologically savvy, with the proven ability to quickly grasp and master new software and technologies as well as teach them to others.
Critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity.
Public speaking and facilitation skills.
High level of demonstrated proficiency in editing and manipulating PDF files.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred.
SharePoint, Teams, Slack or other cloud-based collaboration skills strongly preferred.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to prioritize a high volume of requests/demands with support from senior staff.
Ability to work independently as well as in team settings.
Excellent writing skills with attention to plain language, professionalism, and correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Education and Experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Salary Range
$55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience, education, and location, among other factors.
