The Verification Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and verifying automobile loan applications, data entry, uploading of documents, and communicating with loan applicants and funding team regarding the loan application process.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct and follow-up with phone interviews, employment, and insurance verification for loan applicants.
- Review loan applications, clarify and obtain additional information as needed.
- Review loan documents to coincide with verifications obtained.
- Verify loan application information by ordering credit, employment, and earnings reports; mail verification forms; and contact verification sources.
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping all loan information confidential.
- Data entry of loan documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in the loan processing/funding field, preferably in the auto finance industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
- Effective communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Dialer experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
