We are seeking a motivated individual who, under the direction of the Location Leader and/or Production Supervisor will be responsible for supporting all aspects of feed manufacturing and can work and/or transition to any shift, position, or location to support the feed manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to AgState’s Safety Policy.
- Utilize good customer service skills at all times, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.
- Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
- Assist and support all departments including delivery as needed by performing the job duties as assigned.
- Perform loadout functions such as manually loading trucks, alarms, and queuing up loads. Additionally performing grinding and batching and reporting all ingredient receipts to control room.
- Support and uphold continuous improvement and maintenance CMMS utilization.
- Work independently by performing all the tasks required of feed operation employees.
- Provide support to the procurement team to provide input as necessary on issues of supply, production scheduling, inventory, management, etc.
- Lead and follow processes and procedures to ensure compliance with AgState’s and Federal/State regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, EPA, SFSF, FSMA, CGMP.)
- Operate control room/scale in feed mill setting providing sound technical ability.
- Receive feed ingredients and transfer to appropriate bins.
- Fill feed orders on a daily basis, ensuring quality and satisfactory for customer base.
- Follow processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory requirements such as OSHA, EPA, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, etc.
- Assist with the performance of daily maintenance checks on all running equipment.
- Make minor improvements on equipment and facilities, as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and general housekeeping-sweep and clean mill to maintain appropriate dust levels and maintain AgState's image.
- Provide back-up to logistics coordinator, feed processing on all shifts and maintenance.
- Assist with other locations, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
